How to Hide Drives C, D, E in the computer

This is a great trick to disable the display of local or networked drives when you click My Computer. You can play this trick on your friends.  

1. Go to start and type “run” in the search box. Open “run”.

2. Type "regedit" in the box.

 
3. Go to: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer
 
4. Now in the right plane, create new>DWORD.
 
5. Name it “NoDrives”. Now modify it.

6. Change its value and set it to “3FFFFFF” – Hexadecimal.
 
7. Now restart the computer. When you click on My Computer, no drives will be shown. 
 
8. To  enable display of drives in My Computer, simply delete this DWORD item that you created.      Again restart your computer. You can now see all the drives again.
